The tickets are confirmed

Well, we just received confirmation from British Airways that our Round-the-World-tickets have been booked. As we already have passed the international date line west to east (twice actually), we figured it would be fun to travel the other way around. October 8th

We’ve finally settled on our departure date. October 8th we’ll fly out to London, only to switch planes to Boston, where we’ll spend two days seeing sights. After that, it’s Miami, Orlando, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Adelaide. As always, we have our next holiday planned already, so starting June 19th, we will be heading towards The Netherlands once more, this time via Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Rome, Barcelona and London, where we’ll arrive July 12th. Except for the single tickets from Amsterdam to London, none of this is booked yet, so the planning may still change a little bit over the next few days, but this is basically what we have in mind.

Now that we know when we’re leaving, it is time to prepare for our arrival in Australia. Hopefully we’ll be able to continue working on our super-secret project when we’re there, so finding jobs is currently not a priority. Finding housing however, is. Next up will be finding some sort of temporary accommodation, just for a month or two, so we can take our time finding a long-term rental property. After that it will be time to look into opening a bank account and investigating insurance options. There are also loads of services we need to cancel prior to leaving this lush green country of ours, so there is plenty to do until we leave.
